Serving

At LaSalle Community Church there are many ways to serve and be connected with others. Here are a few:

Greeters
Help make others feel welcomed to the church and guide them in the right direction for kids ministries, the bathroom, or a cup of coffee. Time commitment is approximately one Sunday per month. Arrive 20 minutes before service time.

Children’s Ministry
Whether it’s helping with the Tiny Tots (0-5 yr olds) or Kids Konnection (students K-grade) this is a fun way to minister to our next generation. The curriculum and materials are all prepared by our supervisors, so it makes teaching a snap! Time commitment is approximately one Sunday per month. Arrive 20 minutes before service time and ends when the adult service lets out.

Tech Team
Enjoy working with computers and projection equipment? This is the place for you! We’ll teach you how to use the software, audio equipment and tips for troubleshooting. Time commitment is one Sunday per month from 8:30 am until the end of service.

Worship Service Assistants
We’re looking for persons who are comfortable being in front of the congregation to lead us in prayer, scripture reading or sharing ministry highlights from week-to-week. Time Commitment- 1-2 Sundays per month during the worship service.

Meal Ministry
Want to use your love of cooking and/or hospitality to help others? From time to time there is a need to provide meals for those who are home bound, recovering from surgery, or after the loss of a loved one. Time commitment varies.

Prayer/Visitation Team
This is a team that surrounds the body in prayer during difficult times. There are several different ways to serve with this team. You can stay to pray with people after worship service, or visit people who are sick, in the hospital, or grieving the loss of a loved one.
